1. Data we collect
When you fill an enquiry form, request a callback or create a Builder account on Big Brother, we collect the information you give us — typically your name, phone number, email, city of interest, budget and any message you send. If you create a Builder account we additionally collect your business name, GST/CIN numbers, registered address and uploaded brand assets.
We also automatically collect technical data — IP address, browser, device type, referring URL and pages viewed — using first-party cookies and standard server logs. This helps us prevent fraud, debug errors and measure which listings perform well.
2. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and route them to the relevant Builder or advisor.
- To create and operate your Big Brother account, including billing and listing management.
- To send transactional updates (lead notifications, listing approval status, payment receipts).
- To send marketing communications you have opted into — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
5. How long we keep data
Enquiry records are kept for 24 months so we can resolve disputes about lead quality with Builders. Builder account data is retained while the account is active and for 18 months after closure for tax and audit purposes. Server logs are kept for 90 days.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — except where we are required to retain it by law. Builders can edit most data directly from their portal; everyone else can email us at the address below.
We are based in India and follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you live in the EU/UK and believe your GDPR rights have been infringed, you have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production data is limited to a small set of named engineers, audited every quarter. We will notify affected users without undue delay if we ever discover a breach that affects your personal data.
8. Children
Big Brother is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will also be notified by email to registered users.
